• Download auto-refresh for your desktop and keep your laptop on 24/7.
• Set auto-refresh to every 5 minutes. This will make you active all day and night.

LESSER RESPONSE TIME

Make sure that your average response time is not more than 1 or 2 hours. This will be possible if your reply in 1 hour to every first message that came at the start of each conversation.

If your response time is more, your gig ranking will also drop as Fiverr will detect that you are less active than others.

TRY TO GET REGULAR ORDERS

Ranking of your gig also depends upon that how frequently you are getting orders and are you getting orders on your gig or not?

If you are getting regular orders from time to time your gig will also rank in no time to page one.

Some of the buyers request you a lot of work in exchange for less amount. A few days back I got a message from a seller who wants me to write 1000 words article in 1$ and he was needing 11 of those for 11$ in a day. 

The least I can charge for 1000 words article is 20$. So, what he was offering was not even near to my gigs price. That is why I politely let him down. I advise you to do the same. If you sell your services lesser than what they deserve, will decrease your value and your gig’s value as well.

Why I kept research at the top? A general rule of thumb is whenever you are starting anything like a business or any job or let’s say Fiverr, you must do your homework about that. When you are starting on Fiverr. You created a new gig you are actually entering the battlefield of the freelance marketplace. 

As soon as you published your gig, your competition started with other sellers on the Fiverr platform. You might be a newbie to freelancing and they might be an expert. Competing with them will be difficult for you if you don’t know about them.

So do this even before creating a gig. I will be discussing two things under this heading one by one.

Cut Down Your Competition:

• Switch to buyer mode and search your category you are about to make a gig. 
• Let’s say your gig is about logo design (this is your keyword), by searching you will get the result that how many services are available on Fiverr for this skill.

• 124,583 services are available against your skill and your keyword of “logo design”. 
• If you try different keywords and elaborate more about the type of service you are offering like in the second picture I have changed the keyword to “unique logo design”. This decreases the service count from 124,583 to 118,767.
• Now I try another keyword of “simple logo design” and now the available gig under this keyword is only 29,305 which are more than 4 times lesser than the above keywords.
• Like this research about your category and select your targeted keyword in such a way that you have to face lesser competition.

Research About Your Competitors:

• Once you have selected the appropriate keyword for your gig, the next step is analyzing your competition.
• Analyze that in your selected category, which sellers are on the first page and from them who are having more orders.
• Shortlist those people and study their gigs, find out how they are displaying their gigs, what they are offering, and how much they are charging.
• By this, you will get an idea of what is the price your skill is selling fast, and what changes you can make in your gig to stand on the competition better.

THE TITLE OF YOUR GIG

The title of your gig is very important as it is the first line or you can say the first impression anybody will see about or read about you.

Due to this 5$ minimization sometimes Fiverr know as a 5$ marketplace. 

I will cover gigs in another article of mine, but just for a brief introduction is that a gig is basically and advertisement through which freelancers or seller display their skills and experiences. The gig is a unique way on Fiverr other than any of the marketplaces that is why sometimes it is called a Gig marketplace.

Setting Up a Fiverr Account

For the Fiverr registration, go to the website. The account you will make is totally free of charge and you are not supposed to give any money to Fiverr for making up an account on their platform. 

BUYER ACCOUNT

1. When you go to the website there is an option of Join when you click on that there are 2 options.
2. Either you can sign up with Google and Facebook where it will read your profile details and use the same on your Fiverr account.
3. The second option is to join using your email address.

5. It is important that whatever you are giving on your account is nothing but the truth. 
6. After signing up to continue with your username and password, the username once set can’t be changed.
7. Confirm and activate your account by the link sent to your email address, and then you are good to go.
8. Fiverr also ask for your phone number to confirm your verification and this also makes your account secure. 

SELLER ACCOUNT

• When you set up an account on Fiverr it is by default the buyer account and you can switch it to selling mode with one click.

When new freelancers start on Fiverr they miss out on some points, which don’t let their profile up to the mark. Here are some tips for your profile which will help you in ranking your profile even as a new seller:

• Get the badge of Learn from Fiverr on your profile. There is a free introductory course available Online Freelancing Essentials: be a successful Fiverr seller, I advise you to take it. It will not only give you the badge but helps you understand this freelancing platform better. 
• Take relevant tests of your skills, for example: if you are a freelance writer take their English skill test, and content writing test. If you are a developer take their WordPress 5.1 test. If you are a graphic designer take their adobe related tests.

Signing up and making an account is free, but selling and buying on their platform is not. Fiverr charge their 20% share or fee from both sellers and buyers.

For Example:

• If you are a seller and you sell your gig for 10$. A client purchased your gig the amount you will receive after the order completion will be 8$. 2$ will be 20% of their commission.
• As a buyer when you purchased a gig of 10$ you have to pay Fiverr 12$. 2$ as their 20% share.
• So on any and every order Fiverr is charging 40% of its share. 20% of the buyer and 20% from the seller.

Before creating your gig just do a little research about your service market value by searching your gig keywords in Fiverr search bar also keep your eyes open for Fiverr keyword suggestions, the purpose of this research is that firstly you get an idea about how frequently your service is purchased by buyers on Fiverr, secondly your also get an idea of how your competitors manage their gigs and its meta-data (title, description, tags, images, videos), etc. if you are confused about a keyword that what is a keyword? The keyword is just a phrase or combination of two or more than two words. Like I am a WordPress website developer I will search for  “WordPress Website” in the Fiverr search bar. I hope your guys got my point.

Write an SEO Title, Tags & Description for Your Gig   

Don’t be confused about the word SEO title, description and tags, the purpose of Step number 3  that is described above is to find the well-researched keywords that against which your gig will be rank in Fiverr search result, make sure that your keyword appears in your gig title at least one time and also remember that don’t forget to put this keyword in your gig tags after that keep in mind your gig keyword will appear in you gig packages and at last but not least also write your gig keyword in your gig description as well at least 3-4 times that is all you need to do in this section.

Must Add FAQ’s & Requirement  Notes

In this section, you need to think like a buyer’s perspective that what kind of question can be raised in your buyer mind. After reviewing your gig, you need to list down all the questions and their answers in the Q/A section. You can also take help for your competitor’s gig’s Q/A section and get an idea of how they are managing these sections. You also need to inject your gig keyword in any question or answer as well. After that you need to write a clear cut requirement section about what you need to start the project and mention all your requirements related to starting the project.
