Another way is the one that we will discuss today how you can apply to jobs posted by a Fiverr buyer. These jobs are called buyer requests and thus most of the time if you are on a Fiverr new seller level, will be your way to get the jobs. 

Fiverr buyer requests are the job advertisements that buyers put on the Fiverr platform. This Fiverr buyer request will include the type of job they will need, their budget, and their deadlines. Most of the time these requests are short and concise. But, sometimes buyers put a large message explaining all of their requirements in the job post.

Fiverr buyer requests are found in the More section of your main menu. When you click on more there will be a portion of buyer requests. After clicking it whatever your expertise is, buyer requests for those categories are shown there.

How to Approach a Fiverr Buyer Request?

Approaching a buyer request is like posting your curriculum vitae on the job posting. The competition will be quite high for you. As soon as you approach that request it may be possible that hundreds of Fiverr sellers have already applied. 

This is true that the competition is high but this is the only way through which you can approach a job. To win the project, what you can do is to write a proposal that will be eye-catching, appropriate, and have the best value to the buyer.

Step by Step Guide to Approach a Buyer’s Request

Once you have seen the request and decided that this is the job for you. Now the next step is to write your proposal to the buyer to get that job. Remember your competition is tough so you have to be the best version of yourself. You have to write that request perfectly. I will mention the step-by-step approach and some important points for you to consider while approaching a buyer. 

READ IT CAREFULLY

What most of the sellers do is that as soon as they see the request they just read one-two lines, and send the buyer a request. You must read it thoroughly and carefully, keep in mind all the aspects. See carefully what he is asking for and what you can provide.

DON’T SEND READYMADE TEMPLATES

Yes, you can make a template just for your sake but never send it to the buyer request. If you want to send it make appropriate changes before sending it. You know every buyer has different requirements. Some also mentioned writing some words before starting the job request. So, keep that in mind that you must meet the buyer’s requirements.

RESEARCH BEFORE SENDING THE REQUEST

Whatever the post is, if you get some research done before sending the request to the buyer this will be helpful for you. In this way, you will have to offer more than anyone else for a buyer.

START WITH THE INTRODUCTION

At the very start greet the buyer then introduce yourself, like what is your name, who you are, and what you can provide. Include his job interest in your introduction for example if you are applying for a logo designing job start by saying that I am an experienced graphic designer and logo designing is my specialty and this is how I can help you.

DON’T TRY TO FILL ALL THE WORDS

Never think that if you consume all the words that Fiverr is giving you will make a good impression on a buyer. Large paragraphs will not interest you. Instead, keep it sweet and short. Try to use lesser words and remain focused. Most buyers are busy; they are having hundreds of requests. Buyers don’t have time to go through all of them.

If you write long posts that are not required by the buyer you might end up getting ignored by your buyer.

TELL BUYER WHY TO HIRE YOU

You will be hired only if you are someone a buyer is looking for. Try to explain to him briefly how you can help them so that he will consider hiring you without a doubt.

PLACE QUESTIONS IN YOUR REQUEST

After writing the requirements what you can provide to him for his better sales. Try to ask some questions about his job post. You can ask any relevant questions. Asking questions will let the buyer feel that you are taking interest in his project more and chances of you getting hired will be high.

LINK YOUR PREVIOUS WORK

As said before it’s like submitting a CV. When you apply for any job the most important part of that will be your experience. Similarly in the buyer request link at least one of your similar work or projects so buyers get an idea of how you will deal with his project.

QUICKER THE BETTER

If a buyer requests that work be delivered in 2 days. Try to offer him to deliver in one day within the same charges. 

LESSER THE BETTER

You know hundreds of people are applying for one position and the buyer might pick the one who provides faster service, quality work in the least possible amount. so try to bid low on the request and increase your hiring chance. 

PAY REGARDS IN THE END

Once you have written the request. Click on the submit request, select the relevant gig of your skill the buyer is asking for, and click submit an offer.

SOME OTHER TIPS FOR FIVERR SELLERS

• Don’t apply for a job if it says $5 and you can do this work for $10. A buyer already mentioned his price if you go below that chances of your hiring will be less.
• Don’t sell your gig for a lesser amount as this will decrease your average selling price. Try to approach for requests that are near your gig prices.
• You can send a ready-made template but with all the necessary changes relevant to the job post. 
• Address your buyer with a name. Calling them sir and mam will not look and be considered professional.
• Try to apply for a job earlier not lesser than the top 20. As there are high chances that the buyer will select the person within the top 20.

In the end, no matter if you are selling skills that are always wanted or you have no skills at all. In both times approaching your buyer with the same method will be appropriate. Don’t rush, stay calm, read the request properly, and respond wisely.

A freelance marketplace such as Fiverr is like your office. When you join there you are a new employee for them. After a dedicated time period and a certain amount of earnings and orders, they will promote you to another higher level.

• Complete 50 orders in total.

• Your rating must not be less than 4.7.

After you achieve the level two Fiverr seller badge, you need to meet the requirements below to reach the top-rate Fiverr seller.

• Stay active for 180 days on Fiverr. 
• Complete 100 orders in total.
• Total earning up to 20000$.
• Your rating must not be less than 4.7.
• Your order delivery time, response rate, and completed orders percentage must not be below 90%.
• Once you will reach that level you will be promoted to the top-rated seller by Fiverr.

What Is The Importance Of Higher Level?

Imagine a similar scenario of office setup. For instance, you are having the lowest post that is why you will be assisted last. You will have fewer benefits and likewise, you will not earn enough or demand enough salary as people who are working on higher levels can.

If you have created a gig and it is on page 10 or 12. Getting orders is another scenario, do you think someone will even visit your gig? 

Try to think like a buyer. If you are a Fiverr buyer and you want to buy a gig. Which gigs will catch your attention or on which gigs you want to place your order? Obviously, your preference will the gigs who appear in your eyes first. 

So, gigs displaying on the first page on Fiverr search are the highlighted and most successful gigs. Those get the highest orders and impressions that is why it is important to rank your Fiverr gig on page one. 

How To Rank Your Fiverr Gig

Summarizing some of the ways to rank your Fiverr gig on the first page: 

REMAIN ACTIVE

I can’t emphasize enough on this. I must say this is one of the most important ways you can rank your gig. By remaining active I meant is to be online on your Fiverr account 24/7.

Day time is different according to your timezone, it is important if you are active in your daytime which is easily possible. At the night Fiverr automatically detects that it’s night and you might not be able to do reply. 

But I would recommend being online whenever and wherever you can. There are some easy ways to do so:

• If you are using only the desktop version of Fiverr, get a Fiverr app on your mobile. 
• Download auto-refresh for your desktop and keep your laptop on 24/7.
• Set auto-refresh to every 5 minutes. This will make you active all day and night.

LESSER RESPONSE TIME

Make sure that your average response time is not more than 1 or 2 hours. This will be possible if your reply in 1 hour to every first message that came at the start of each conversation.

If your response time is more, your gig ranking will also drop as Fiverr will detect that you are less active than others.

TRY TO GET REGULAR ORDERS

Ranking of your gig also depends upon that how frequently you are getting orders and are you getting orders on your gig or not?

If you are getting regular orders from time to time your gig will also rank in no time to page one.

GET GOOD FEEDBACK

Try to get good positive feedback on your every order. This will be possible if:

• The service you have provided to the client is high-quality.
• You submitted your work before the deadline. 
• Your conversation abilities are good, and you communicate with the buyer well.

AVAIL ALL BUYER’S REQUESTS PER DAY

What Fiverr offers is the 10 buyers request for each seller in 2 hours. Try to avail of all of them. The least will happen is that you will not get an order but the action shows the Fiverr marketplace that you are interested and you eagerly want orders.

This will also show that you are an active user of this freelance market place and all this will help in ranking your Fiverr gig eventually.

DON’T SELL YOUR GIGS IN LESS

Some of the buyers request you a lot of work in exchange for less amount. A few days back I got a message from a seller who wants me to write 1000 words article in 1$ and he was needing 11 of those for 11$ in a day. 

The least I can charge for 1000 words article is 20$. So, what he was offering was not even near to my gigs price. That is why I politely let him down. I advise you to do the same. If you sell your services lesser than what they deserve, will decrease your value and your gig’s value as well.

PROMOTION AND MARKETING

Again repeating this but as done in my previous article as well. I will explain why promoting and marketing your gig is important?

If you have created anything for instance your gig, no one knows. You have to tell people about it, you have to gain traffic towards your gig. Without marketing and promotion, your gig will be hidden. 

Reach out to the most people possible through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or your personal contacts. This will increase your impressions and likes on your gig and hence helps in ranking.

Some promotions and marketing strategies are paid. If you can afford you can go towards them as well. But as a beginner, I would recommend you to do the basics first and grow gradually.

A gig meaning in Fiverr in easy words is nothing but just a showcase or a magazine of your skills as a seller. Like if you go to a shop and different products are showcasing on the shelf, with prices mentioned below, but they all belong to one shop. A buyer comes to the shop and buys the product of his need, a Fiverr Gig works the same way.

As a freelance seller, you showcase your skills and talents on the shelf or platform of Fiverr with the prices mentioned below, collectively called a gig. If the buyer needs to buy any service from you he will go through your Gig and if it meets his requirements he will place an order there.

Easy Gig Setup For a New Fiverr Seller 

Once you are done with your Fiverr signup, the next step is to create a gig to start selling. Here’s a step by step method for that:

When you switch your account to selling, there will an option of Gig in the category section, click that and go to the option as Create a new gig!

OVERVIEW OF A GIG

Overview of your gig contains the following:

• Gig Title: 

These are the skills you want to showcase in your gig. In the above example, the seller is selling a service for logo design. The title contains up to 80 words.

• Category:

The category and subcategory suggest what your gig is about and will be shown among the corresponding services. Like in the above example it is shown that the seller’s gig is about the logo so a category is graphic and design and the subcategory is logo designing. This category can’t be changed once a gig is published.

• Gig Metadata:

This section is different in all the categories and it further describes and specifies your gig, such as the above metadata showing the style in which you will create the logo design and the file format you will provide. 

• Search Tags

Do these tags specify that if a buyer wants for example a logo design what they will search? If you tag your gig with the relevant keywords your service will appear in their search options. You can enter 5 tags in total. After that click saves and continues to jump on pricing.

PRICING OF YOUR GIG

Further comprising of 2 subcategories such as pricing and gig extras.

• Pricing and Scope

You can choose one package or all three packages for your Fiverr gig. Select the name as per your liking. Then add a short description for each package. Set out the delivery time. The number of revisions the buyer will get from you. 

Specific services you will provide in the different service gigs in different packages. Lastly, the price anywhere between 5$ to 995$ for your package or your gig. 

• Add Extra Gig Service

This section varies from service to service, this is just for bringing extra kick and attraction to your Fiverr gig. It can also determine, what you will charge if somebody wants to buy extra things or services. 

For example: if your package says you will deliver in 3 days and someone wants delivery in 1 day. You can charge extra for delivery in 1 day. Determine in gig’s extra about it.

GIG’S DESCRIPTION

Creating a Fiverr gig description is one of the most important parts of creating a gig. 1200 characters will all you get to describer artistically and attractively that what services you will be provided in this gig.

Fiverr gig description contains all the minimum and maximum information about your service. But it will also let the buyers decide why they buy your services and skills. Spend most of your time while making a text in this part and choose wisely what to write in it. You can see a sample here.

In this part, you can also get a subsection of Frequently asked questions and answers. You can add FAQs here what you think most buyers will have in mind and add them there, creating a good impression on a buyer.

WHAT ARE GIG’S REQUIREMENTS

This part is for you, that when somebody places the order on your gig what you will be needing to start working. You can add multiple requirements you might need if someone places the order on your gig. Add them as per your needs and clicks continue and save.

SETUP MEDIA FILES FOR YOUR FIVERR GIG

The last thing is the media setup for your gig, text content is good, but media content is what makes it eye-catching. Develop or create your own photos and videos, to stand out odd in this sea of Fiverr sellers. Don’t copy other’s media this will be a violation.

For setting up a Fiverr gig one image is compulsory and the rest is up to you. You can add images in JPEG, PNG, GIF, or BMP format, and up to 50 MB. A video up to 75 secs and 50mb is acceptable by the Fiverr platform. 

Audios lasting 3 minutes and 30 seconds and 10 MBS in mp3 and MPEG format are good to upload. This is available for some categories only. PDF files can also be upload for showcasing your work in detail. After you are done save and continue. 

YOU ARE GOOD TO GO

Once, everything is filled and complete. I recommend revising through all your headings once again. Read everything and look for the errors you may have made and correct them. Click on publish your gig button to start selling. 

Sometimes your gig takes time to become active, don’t worry about that. Fiverr team reviews some gigs, especially that contain large media such as videos. 

After review, your gig will become active and will appear active in your gigs section. and now once everything is set. What are you waiting for? START SELLING! 

If after publishing you want to change something, you can change it later on with the option of editing your gig.
